Blake Worden Receives Bid to NCAA South/South Central Super Regional

Texas A&M University junior golfer Blake Worden has received a bid as an individual for the upcoming NCAA Division II Men's South/South Central Super Regional to be played May 5-7 at the Grey Rock Golf Club in Austin, Texas.
The 2008 NCAA Men's Division II Super Regional Tournament field is composed of 8 qualifying teams and 5 qualifying individuals for a total of 45 players per region, for a total of 90 players. The NCAA Men's Division II South / South Central Super Regional serves as the preliminary round of the NCAA Men's Division II Championship. The NCAA Championships will be held May 14-17, 2008, at the Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas. The South / South Central Regional is scheduled for three 18-hole rounds of play to include each of the 16 teams and 10 individual players. For Worden, it is his third-consecutive appearance in NCAA Regional action. The Rowlett, Texas native has posted a team-best average of 72.94 in 2007-08 in 17 rounds of action.
