Texas A&M International University defeated Western New Mexico 10-7 today at the Schutt Division II Classic on Phoenix, Ariz. The win is the first in the program's history.

Samantha García contributed the game-winning hit with a grand slam in the fifth inning. Allison Stein and Victoria Beltrán both went 2-for-4 for the Dustdevils.

Beltrán picked up the win for the Dustdevils with Stormy Keeler getting the save.

TAMIU plays Washburn tonight in an elimination game. The Dustdevils will conclude tournament play on Saturday.
