HOUSTON - R.J. Hesselberg and Kyle Callens competed in the three-meter springboard event on Friday at the NCAA Zone D Men's Diving Meet at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center Natatorium at the University of Houston. Both divers are looking to qualify for the 2008 NCAA Championships.

Hesselberg, this year's Mountain West Conference Men's Diver of the Year, posted a preliminary score of 281.15, and followed with a final score of 316.65 for a total of 597.80 to finish eighth in the three-meter event.

Callens, a freshman from Deer Park, Texas, recorded a preliminary score of 228.25 and a final score of 270.05 for a total of 498.30 to finish 13th in the event.

Both divers will compete in the one-meter springboard event on Saturday at 3:45 p.m. The platform event will be held on Sunday.
