FORT WORTH, Texas -- The TCU football program has announced the addition of Alonzo Adams to its 2008 recruiting class.

A 6-foot-0, 175-pound wide receiver, Adams totaled 27 receptions for 607 yards (22.5 average) and five touchdowns in his lone season at Tyler (Texas) Junior College in 2007. He added five carries for 45 yards in earning All-SWJCA honors.

A Houston Chronicle All-Greater Houston selection as a senior at Westside High School, Adams was the second-leading receiver in the Houston area with 71 catches for 1,286 yards and 10 touchdowns. He was a finalist for the Houston Touchdown Club's Offensive Player of the Year.
