Horned Frogs in 13th place at U.S. Intercollegiate Championships

Stanford, Calif. - After the first two rounds of action at the U.S. Intercollegiate Championships hosted by nationally-ranked Stanford - the TCU men's golf program finished 13th overall on Saturday (Apr. 19) at the Stanford University Golf Course. The Horned Frogs finished with a two-round score of 602 after firing a team score of 294 in the first round followed by a 308 in the second round. Robby Ormand (Austin, Texas/James Bowie H.S.) was the Frogs' top golfer at the U.S. Intercollegiate Championships as the TCU junior finished tied for 35th overall with a 36-hole tally of 148 (73-75). Jordan Woolf (Fort Worth, Texas/Arlington H.S.) tied for 43rd overall at the conclusion of the first two rounds of competition as the TCU sophomore finished with a score of 150 (78-72) - including a team-best 72 in the second round of action. Franklin Corpening (Fort Worth, Texas/Paschal H.S.) finished with a 36-hole score of 154 (76-78) en route to tying for 66th overall on Saturday afternoon. James Sacheck (Zionsville, Ind./Zionsville H.S.) tied for 69th overall at the U.S. Intercollegiate Championships with a two-round score of 155 (72-83) - including a team-best 72 in the first round of action. Travis Woolf (Fort Worth, Texas/Paschal H.S.) notched a two-round tally of 157 (73-84) en route to tying for 77th overall.
USC currently holds the team lead after the first two rounds of action as the Trojans finished with a six-under-par score of 554 while Stanford (572), UCLA (574), California (577) and UC Irvine (581) round out the top-five.
The third and final round of action at the U.S. Intercollegiate Championships will be held on Sunday (Apr. 20) afternoon at the Stanford University Golf Course. TCU Athletic Media Relations
