FORT WORTH, Texas -- Included below is the latest installment of "The Gallery Wants to Know" by Elisa Gomez of the TCU women's golf team.

Hello Purple and White fans! Welcome to this week's edition of The Gallery Wants to Know... Well the golf season has finally begun. We finished our first tournament of the spring. At the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge, we tied for 11th. Val was our top finisher coming in ninth in the field. It was her third top-10 finish of the season. Good playing!

If you haven't had a chance to look at the pictures from the tournament, check them out. Oh and check out the video journals, they're pretty cool as well. Next up is the Lady Puerto Rico Classic... Fun times for sure. On another note, make plans to support the team at both the Texas A&M MoMorial in College Station and the Betsy Rawls Invitational in Austin. They're both fairly close and a great opportunity to check us out in action!

At home, things have been fairly quiet. I think it's test time around here. The library has been packed! On campus, we just finished the University Career Fair, sponsored by University Career Services. There were over 100 companies in attendance, it was quite the event.

Popcorn's Kernels for the Week:
Golf: For excellent short target practice, get 2 or 3 golf towels and place them 20-40 yards away from you. Make sure to stagger the towels. For example, place one at 20 yards and the other at 35 yards, whatever shorter distances you're struggling with. Land 40 balls on the first towel before moving on to the next towel. As you do this, try to see how many you can get in a row.
TCU: Congrats to the Men's tennis team for starting the season out hot. The Horned Frogs are 7-0. Way to go!
Life: Take time out to send a card to a friend or family member you haven't seen in a while... I'm sure they'll appreciate it!

Have a great weekend and if you're in the Fort Worth area, stay dry!
Ciao
