SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico -- The 27th-ranked TCU women's golf team returns to action Sunday as it begins play at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic.

The Horned Frogs, sixth in last year's event, are in the Lady Puerto Rico Classic for the fourth consecutive spring. TCU's Valentine Derrey finished in a five-way tie for first last year while playing in just her second collegiate tournament. There was not a playoff so Derrey shared in medalist honors.

Derrey, now a sophomore, became the first TCU freshman to win a tournament since current LPGA standout Angela Stanford captured the 1997 Texas A&M Monica Welsh Memorial.

This year's 18-team field at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic features six top-25 programs with 14 in the top 50 of the national rankings.

In Derrey, senior Carrie Morris and sophomore Megan O'Donnell, the Frogs will have three players who took part in last year's Lady Puerto Rico Classic. Rounding out the TCU lineup will be freshmen Prisela Campbell and Melissa Loh.

A native of Paris, France, Derrey tops the Mountain West Conference while ranking 14th nationally with a 72.8 stroke average. She has posted three consecutive top-10 finishes.

Morris and Campbell are tied for second on the Frogs with 76.3 mar
