TCU tied for the lead in Puerto Rico

RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico -- The 27th-ranked TCU women's golf team shot a 5-over-par 293 and is tied for the lead after Sunday's opening round of the Lady Puerto Rico Classic. The Horned Frogs sit atop the leaderboard with No. 19 Alabama, three strokes ahead of sixth-ranked Arkansas and No. 42 Florida State. Valentine Derrey is the top TCU golfer. The sophomore from Paris, France, carded a 1-under 71 and is tied for fifth individually, three strokes behind the 68 posted by leader Stacy Lewis of Arkansas. TCU freshmen Prisela Campbell and Melissa Loh both posted career-low scores. Campbell, a Fort Worth native, shot a 71 and is tied for 11th. Her previous low round was a 73 this fall at the Lady Paladin Invitational. Loh, from Singapore, posted a 74. She had a pair of 75s at the Lady Paladin Invitational. Megan O'Donnell and Carrie Morris added a 75 and 76, respectively, for the Frogs.
