TCU head coach Dan Abdalla sat down with GoFrogs.com this week and gave fans an inside look into his schedule this spring.

We just released our spring schedule and it should be great. I always like to challenge the team in the spring and do something unique from an experience standpoint. In the past, my teams have played WUSA teams, the Mexican National Team, the Mexican U-20 national team, the Chinese National Team and FFC Frankurt. This spring, our team will get the opportunity to play in one of the best soccer facilities in the country, Pizza Hut Park. We take on Texas Tech in Frisco on April 5 and it should be a fun and exciting challenge.

Every coach has a different philosophy on scheduling and I'd much rather go 12-6 and be in a position to a win a national championship then go 18-0 and get knocked out in the first round.

Overall, we've had a great finish to our first two weeks of spring practices with a 5-4 intra-squad match Feb 16. It was exceptionally spirited when drafting the two teams. Players that impressed me were Michelle Nguyen, Chelsea Cody, Kaylie Garcia, Lizzy Karoly and Jenna Hayes. Our goalkeepers also did well as they came up with some big saves during the match.
