Soccer falls in heartbreaker to Texas Tech
April 5, 2008
FRISCO, Texas - TCU netted three goals on Saturday night, but it wasn't enough as the Horned Frogs dropped a 4-3 spring contest to Texas Tech at Pizza Hut Park.
For the match, TCU posted 13 shots on goal and eight corners on offense. Jenna Hayes, a forward from Longmont, Colo., put the Purple and White on the board first, netting a goal in the 26th minute. Fellow freshman Kaylie Garcia scored TCU's second goal of the night following intermission. Sophomore Lizzy Karoly brought the Horned Frogs within one midway through the second half, but the Red Raiders were able to hold on for a 4-3 victory Saturday night.
TCU, who moved to 1-2-0 on the spring season, will next be in action at the Baylor Spring Invite on April 12.
