PHILADELPHIA, PA - The men's tennis team was unable to continue their winning ways after a victory against Fordham on Sunday. The Owls were unable to defeat the Wildcats of Villanova, losing 5-2. The loss drops the Owls to 6-12 on the season. Tuesday's top performer for the Owls was Ricardo Velazquez. Playing at the number one singles spot he played his best match of the year to defeat Villanova's number one, Dimitri Chimerakis, convincingly, 6-1, 6-0. Freshman Andrew Choi was the only other Owl to pick up a win against their Philadelphia foe. The men's tennis team is currently in the process of setting a make-up date for a match against La Salle that was rained out on March 31. The schedule will be updated when a date and time are set.
