Walked onto the track team in February, 2008...Earned a varsity letter as an OL for the Temple football team...Appeared in nine games, starting four as a true freshman.
2007-2008 Indoor: Took third at the Bucknell Winter Classic in the shot put with a throw of 47-9 ... Finished second at A-10s in the shot put finishing first for Temple with a throw of 49-11 ¾.
High School: A varsity track & field letterwinner, earned all-state and all-conference accolades in three sports...A three-time state qualifier in the shot put, twice winning the Illinois Class AA state title in the event...In football, a Chicago Tribune Special Mention All-State selection under head coach Mark Olson...A three-year varsity football letterwinner, playing OL and DL, that twice earned All-Suburban Conference honors...Also earned All-Chicagoland and all-area accolades while being cited as the area's lineman of the year...Was recognized by the Chicago Sun-Times as one of the top 100 players in the area...Personal: Second cousin is four-time NFL Pro Bowl CB Sam Madison.
