PHILADELPHIA-Senior midfielder Hillary Richards has been named to the preseason All-American Third Team, as announced today by Inside Lacrosse Magazine. Richards was named to the Atlantic 10's Second Team and US Lacrosse/IWLCA Regional All-American Second Team last season. Starting in all 17 games, she was second on the team in groundballs (30), draw controls (33) and caused turnovers (14). She also had two goals and two assists for four points. The Southampton, N.J. native is one of three Atlantic 10 players to earn preseason All-American distinction. Richmond's Mandy Friend garnered Second Team honors, while George Washington's Kelsey Honeyford joins Richards on the Third Team. Temple opens its season on Saturday, February 23, hosting #11 Penn State at 1 p.m. on Geasey Field
