PRINCETON, N.J -It wasn't the kind of result the Temple women's tennis team was hoping for in its first duel meet of the spring campaign, as the Cherry and White fell to Princeton 5-2 Wednesday evening. Freshmen Lucie Pazderova was the top performer for the Owls on the day, tallying a singles and doubles victory. She recorded a victory in #4 singles, besting the Princeton's Sarah Huah 6-1, 6-3. Paired with Theresa Stangl, the pair defeated Sarah Hoffman/Kristen Scott 9-8 (4). Junior Felicia Frazier also picked up a singles victory for the Owls, winning #6 singles over Kristen Scott 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 (7). The top three singles players for the Owls, sophomore Elyse Steiner, junior Dina Senkina, and sophomore Anastasiia Rukavyshnykova all dropped close, hard fought matches to the Tigers. The Owls (0-1) return to action this Saturday when they travel to crosstown rival Penn.
