KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - If Wednesday night's McDonald's High School All-American Game in Chicago is any indication, the 27-8 mark Holly Warlick's first Lady Vol basketball team recorded this season is just the tip of the iceberg.

Tennessee signees Mercedes Russell and Jordan Reynolds put on a show at the United Center, each recording a double-double to lead the West to a 92-64 victory over the East in the 12th edition of the girls contest at the home of the Chicago Bulls.

The 2013 Gatorade National Girls Basketball Player of the Year from Springfield , Ore., the 6-foot-6 Russell was named the game's MVP after finishing with a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds. Reynolds, a 5-foot-10 guard who attended Central Catholic High School in Portland, Ore., also registered a double-double, scoring 10 points and pulling down 11 rebounds.

Both players drew praise from the West coaching staff this week for their work in practice before the game. They will join fellow signee Jannah Tucker, a 6-foot guard from Randallstown, Md., on the 2013-14 Lady Vols' roster.
