SETTING THE SCENE
Texas Tech will be looking for a little home cooking this weekend as the Red Raiders open up a key three-game Big 12 series against the Kansas State Wildcats at Dan Law Field. The three-game series gets underway at 6:05 p.m. on Friday and will resume at 3 p.m. on Saturday. The weekend concludes on Sunday afternoon as the two squads will meet up for a 1 p.m. first pitch.

It will be a busy weekend in Texas Tech Athletics and a great one for all Red Raider fans. Tech fans will be treated to home football, baseball and women's tennis. The women's tennis team will kickoff the weekend at 5 p.m. on Friday afternoon with a match against No. 33 Texas A&M at the McLeod Tennis Complex. Red Raider Baseball will open a three-game series with Kansas State later that evening at 6:05 p.m. The annual spring football game is slated for Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. inside Jones AT&T Stadium. The spring game will feature the Goin' Band From Raiderland, numerous contests and promotions as well as Raider Alley.

The Red Raiders will be looking to snap a six-game losing streak that came to head this week in Las Vegas. Tech suffered a two-game sweep at the hands of UNLV and it marked their second sweep in a week as Tech lost all three games at Kansas last weekend. Texas Tech is four games below .500 on the season as they stand at 17-21 overall while Kansas State comes into the series with a 16-19 overall record.

All three games of the Kansas State series will be carried live on the Texas Tech Sports Network (KKAM 1340 in Lubbock) with Robert Giovannetti and Matt Miller calling the action live from Dan Law Field. Live audio and video will be available on the official website of Texas Tech Athletics, www.texastech.com.
