LUBBOCK, Texas - The Red Raiders continue to work through their non-conference schedule as they travel to play in their first of two highly touted tournaments. The team's first match will be against Middle Tennessee State at 9 a.m., followed by the winner of New Mexico and Southern Alabama at 3 p.m. in Corpus Christi, Texas.

No. 39 Texas Tech sits 8-1 on the season after a successful outing in New Mexico last weekend. The team went 2-0 defeating New Mexico, 7-0, and New Mexico State, 6-1. Tech is one of eight teams participating in this year's tournament, with the entire field consisting of Middle Tennessee State, New Mexico, Nebraska, Old Dominion, Southern Alabama, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, and Western Michigan.

At last year's H.E.B Invite the Red Raiders defeated Western Michigan 4-1, but fell short in their second match to Southern Alabama, 4-3. Tech leads the series over Middle Tennessee State, boasting a 4-1 win last season in Seattle.
