NEW ORLEANS - The Tulane University women's track and field team sends three athletes to compete Saturday at the Stanford Invitational in Stanford, Calif., and the 81st Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin, Texas.

Competing at the Stanford Invitational for Tulane is senior Aubrey Phillips in the 10,000-meter run. At the Texas Relays, freshman Rebecca Coady will participate in the 3,000 meter steeplechase, after setting a school benchmark last week. Junior Katarina Busljeta will throw the discus at the Texas Relays.

Meanwhile, the rest of the team will "scrimmage" and participate in time trials Saturday at the Danny Thiel Track. Head coach Heather Van Norman hopes the extra preparation will boost her athletes to a higher level of competition heading into the remainder of the outdoor season.
