Tulane's Ashley Langford was named Third Team All-Conference USA Tuesday in a vote of coaches, media and sports information directors. The 5-5 point guard is Tulane's all-time career assists leader and moved into fourth on the fourth in C-USA history.

Langford leads Tulane with 11.6 PPG and is third in C-USA with 5.35 assists per contest. Her 533 career assists puts her 10 back of third all-time in C-USA history. She became Tulane's career assist leader in only 69 games and ranks 27th in the NCAA in APG (5.35). "This is a well deserved honor for Ashley, who has been the model of consistency for us," head coach Lisa Stockton said. "She's been our floor leader and while she's always created offense through her passing. This season, she's picked up her scoring. Not just in a few games, but she's consistently been one of our top scorers."

She also ranks 28th in the NCAA in free throw percentage, at .846. Her .849 career free throw percentage is second in Tulane history, and ranks in the top 10 in the C-USA record book. Earlier this season, she made 43 consecutive free throws, the eighth longest streak in NCAA history and longest in C-USA history. Her final throw against Kansas State began an run without a miss that stretched 11 games. The NCAA record is 66 by Richmond's Ginny Doyle (1991-92).

The Harrisburg, Pa. native has scored in double-figures in 19 of 29 games this season, including 12 of 16 Conference USA games. She's led Tulane in scoring nine times.

It marks the second straight year Langford earned Third-Team All-Conference honors.
