Tulane Women's Basketball Announces National TV Schedule, Season Ticket Packages

2007-08 Women's Basketball Schedule

NEW ORLEANS - The Green Wave announced its women's basketball national television schedule with three TV contests on CSTV and ESPN, as well as announcing the opening of season ticket sales at the Tulane University Athletics ticket office. Tulane, under 2007 Conference USA Coach of the Year Lisa Stockton, will play 16 home games this season, including one at New Orleans Arena.

Tulane, the 2006-07 Conference USA regular season champions, will hold two nationally-televised home games, a Valentine's Day contest against Rice at 7 p.m. on CSTV and a March 1 game against SMU at 5 p.m. at Fogelman Arena. The Green Wave will play at Houston on Sunday, January 6, at 3 p.m. on ESPN2.

Season ticket packages include all 16 home games, including an exhibition against the Houston Jaguars on November 1, Tulane versus Nicholls State on January 2 in New Orleans Arena, and the Tulane DoubleTree Classic (Dec. 20-21), which will feature an additional game per day as Virginia Tech meets Texas-San Antonio following Tulane vs Robert Morris on Dec. 20, and both the consolation and championship game on Dec. 21.

Adult season tickets at floor level are available for $150, with adult reserved tickets costing $85. General admission seating is $65 for adults and $50 for youth. Youth reserved tickets are available for $70, while a family pack (two adult and two youth tickets). For Tulane faculty and staff, a family pack costs $75, while individual reserved seats are $42.50 and general admission seats are $32.50.

The Green Wave opens the 2007-08 campaign with a Nov. 1 exhibition at home against the Houston Jaguars. The regular season opens at home on Nov. 13, when Tulane will raise its Conference USA regular season championship and WNIT banners prior to its game against Georgia Tech.
 

 

Tulane will play host to LSU on December 2, the second-straight year the Tigers have visited Fogelman Arena.

Season tickets for the 2007-08 Green Wave women's basketball campaign are sold exclusively by the Tulane Athletics ticket office and can be purchased now in person, online at www.TulaneGreenWave.com or by phone at (504) 861-WAVE.

Tulane returns 10 players from last year's squad, including point guard Ashley Langford, who was second in C-USA in assists and eighth in the nation last season. The Green Wave finished 26-7 last season, earning the Conference USA regular season championship with a 13-3 conference mark. Tulane advanced to the second round of the WNIT.
