Jan. 30, 2008 University of Texas-Pan American Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will host a fundraiser called `The Speakeasy Scandal' at the Shary Mansion that will give adventurous people a unique experience on Saturday (Feb. 16) at 6 p.m. Guests that night will experience mystery, murder and more. Each guest will receive a character card prior to the evening with a detailed description of their character. Prizes will be awarded for the best dressed, best actor, and best detective. No acting experience is necessary. The evening will include hors'deuvres, beverages, a murder to be solved, and more. This will be a night for all who attend to remember, as well as the patrons of scholarships at UTPA who will benefit Tickets will be $75 per person or $140 per couple.
