The University of Texas-Pan American men's and women's golf programs will set their sights on capturing two different tournaments this weekend in Gainesville, FL and Kauai, HI.

The Broncs will head to Kauai, HI where they will compete in the Kauai Cup while the Lady Broncs will travel to Gainesville, FL for the Gainesville Shootout III.

The Broncs are coming off an 11th place finish at the Braveheart Classic in Beaumont, CA on Mar. 3.

UTPA was led by Shane Pearce who tied for 41st place with a three-round score of 235 (80-78-77).

The Lady Broncs will go head-to-head with 16 University at the Mark Bostick Golf Course at the University of Florida beginning Mar. 13-15.

The women are coming off a ninth place finish at the Islander Spring Classic where they finished as a team with a three-round score of 962.

Elizabeth Rodriguez (Kingwood, TX/Kingwood H.S.) was the Lady Broncs top golfer finishing with a 54-hole score of 236 (77-77-82).

The tournament field consists of Albany, Appalachian State, Florida, Illinois, Illinois State, Iowa, Louisiana-Monroe, Michigan, Nevada, Southern Mississippi, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Texas State, Troy, West Florida and Wofford.

The Lady Broncs will begin the first round of competition on Thursday (Mar. 13) with an 8:45 shot gun start while the men will begin the first 18-holes on Friday (Mar. 14).
