The University of Texas-Pan American men's and women's tennis teams will take to the road as they prepare for another busy weekend of tennis action.
The Broncs will first face-off against Centenary College on Saturday (Feb. 2) at 9 a.m. in Nacogdoches, TX followed by a contest with Prairie View A&M on Sunday at 10 a.m.
The men dropped two matches last weekend to top-ranked teams Texas Tech by a 7-0 count and Clemson 6-1.
The biggest win of the weekend came when newcomer Ashwin Vijayaragan (Andhrapradesh, India/ Kenedy Vidya Bhavan H.S.) and Brett Bernstein (Sugarland, TX/Austin H.S.) handed Ike Belk and Kevin Fleck of Clemson an 8-4 setback.
As for the women, that Lady Broncs will travel to Nacogdoches, TX for a match-up against Stephen F. Austin at 2 p.m. followed by a double-header against Centenary College and Louisiana Tech.
The Lady Broncs are coming off a 1-1 week in Lubbock, TX, where they collected a huge 4-3 win over Air Force on Friday (Jan. 26) and dropped a 7-0 decision to Texas Tech on Saturday.
Luisa Cantu (Victoria, Tamps, Mexico/Colegio Jose de Escandon) recorded the biggest win of her career and was the deciding factor in the victory against Air Force as she collected a 6-2, 6-3 win over Erlyn Ruico.

- The men will open its 2007-08 season against the Broncs on Saturday.
Prairie View A&M
- The Panthers are coming off a 6-1 setback over Southeastern Louisiana on Sunday (Jan. 27).
Scouting the Opponent - Women
Stephen F. Austin
- The Ladyjacks are coming off a 7-0 setback over North Texas at the Schleif Tennis Complex on Sunday and fell to 0-1 on the season.
Louisiana Tech
- The Lady Techsters recorded their first victory of the season against Prairie View A&M by a final count of 6-1.
