SAN MARCOS - Four Bobcats scored in double figures as Texas State (13-8, 7-1 SLC) finished with the most points it's ever scored in a Southland Conference game with a 99-60 win over Sam Houston State (1-19, 0-7 SLC) on Saturday.

A strong inside presence gave Texas State an early lead as Marie Moser and Aimee Hilburn combined for seven rebounds and all the points of a 10-2 Bobcat run over the game's first three minutes.

Sam Houston State fought back over the next five minutes, pulling within five at 20-15 with 11:44 to play when Britney Harris hit a jumper. The Bearkats would get no closer though as the Texas State defense allowed only three more field goals for the rest of the first half while the offense outscored Sam Houston State 26-9 over the remainder of the period.

The two teams traded baskets to start the second half, but the Bobcats gradually increased their lead and pushed it past the 30 point mark when Moser hit a lay-up and was fouled, converting the free throw to put Texas State up 77-45 midway through the second half.

The three-point play also jumpstarted a 15-5 run over the next five minutes, with Ashley Cole scoring six straight to make it 92-50 Bobcats. Texas State then ran off the rest of the clock for the 99-60 win.

Ashley Cole added 15 points and Brooke DeGrate 10 to round out the Bobcats in double figures.
