FRISCO - Tickets for the 2008 Southland Conference Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament, to be held March 12-16 at the Merrell Center in Katy, Texas, are now on sale at all Southland athletic ticket offices and through the nationwide Ticketmaster system, including on-line at www.ticketmaster.com.

Each institution has an allotment of tournament tickets in its reserved courtside seating section during the event in the suburban west Houston. The combined tournament for the top eight men's and women's regular season finishers features 14 games with the two champions advancing to the NCAA Men's and Women's Tournaments.

Reserved ticket packages for all 14 games are $75. Daily reserved and general admission tickets for afternoon and evening sessions will be available later when tournament seeding is known. Reserved session tickets with two games are $18, while championship game tickets are $12. General admission tickets are $15 for two-game sessions and $10 for championship days. Children five and under and Southland Conference students with valid ID are admitted free of charge.

The tournament opens with four women's quarterfinal games on Wednesday, March 12, followed by the men's quarterfinals on Thursday, March 13. The semifinals for women and men will be played Friday, March 14.

The women's championship game will be held on Saturday, March 15, and will be televised live on Fox Sports Net Southwest. The men's title game follows on Sunday, March 16 and will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2.
