Pinehurst, N.C.- - The Texas State University women's golf team enters the final round of the Pinehurst Challenge tied for 14th place with James Madison after the Bobcats fired a team score of 317 Monday on the Par 72, 5,968-yard Pinehurst #8 course.

Freshman Sehee Kim, who began the day tied for eighth place, shot a 9-over-par score of 81 in the second round and ended the day tied with seven other players for 28th place with a two-day score of 157.

Linn Gustafsson shot a 5-over-par 77 to lead the Bobcats in the second round and enters the final round with a two-day total of 158. She is tied with Kylene Pulley of USF and Minhee Park of Boise State.

Trine Mortensen is one shot back of those three players and tied with eight other players for 44th place after she fired a 7-over par score of 79 in the second round and has a two-day score of 160.

Caitlin Bliss, who was Texas State's top player at the Islander Classic to open the Spring, has a two-day total of 165 after she fired an 82 in the second round.

Adin Stromgren had Texas State's third best score in the second round with an eight-over-par 80, and enters the final round with a two-day score of 171.

Steffi Kirchmayr from the College of Charleston is tied with Laura Jansone of East Tennessee State for the individual lead with a two-day 4-over-par score of 148. Emma deGroot of Chattanooga, Emelie Lind of East Carolina and Lucy Gould of East Tennessee State are tied for third place with a 5-over-par 149 score. Iliska Verwey of Georgia State, Martha Burkard of Oregon State, Gabbe DiMora of North Carolina-Greensboro are tied for sixth place with a two-day score of 151, while Christine Wolf of Chattanooga rounds out the top 10 individual players with a score of 152.

Led by Jansone and Gould, East Tennessee State enters the final round with the top team score of 611. East Carolina is in second place with a two-day score of 615, while North Carolina-Greensboro and Tennessee Chattanooga are tied for third with team scores of 620.
