SAN MARCOS - The Bobcat women's tennis team opens the Southland Conference portion of its schedule this weekend with matches against Northwestern State and Central Arkansas.

Both matches will start at 10 a.m. at the Bobcat Tennis Complex, with the Bobcats taking on the Lady Demons on Saturday before hosting the Sugar Bears on Sunday.

Texas State improved to 2-3 on the season last week with a 6-1 win on February 20 over St. Edward's, snapping a three-match losing streak.

Northwestern State enters the weekend 5-4 on the season while Central Arkansas has posted a 0-4 record, including a loss to the Lady Demons in its SLC opener.
