SAN MARCOS - The Bobcat volleyball team heads to Houston to play in the Texas Tornados Tournament this weekend as Texas State continues its spring tournament schedule.

Texas State will play four games on Saturday, beginning with Oklahoma at 10 a.m. The Bobcats will then play TCU and UTEP before closing out their day against Wichita State at 3 p.m.

A 5-3 performance at the SMU Invitational last weekend moved the Bobcats' record to 11-5 overall in the spring. Lawrencia Brown and AJ Watlington combined for 31 kills in the eight match set. The Bobcats also went 6-2 in a tournament hosted at Strahan Coliseum two weeks ago, where Jessica Weynand and Emily Wilkes posted team highs in kills.

Texas State wraps up its spring schedule with a tournament next Friday at Stephen F. Austin.
