Alisha Misiata Wins Shot Put at Collegiate ClassicMarch 22, 2008
Final Results at www.flashresults.com/flashwest IRVINE, Calif. --- UC Irvine sophomore Alisha Misiata broke her own school record in winning the shot put with a mark of 50-6 in Saturday's Collegiate Classic at Anteater Stadium. That mark passed her previous record of 49-11 set earlier this season. Misiata placed second in the discus throw Saturday with a mark of 149-8. UCI's Madeline Leduc finished second in the triple jump at 38-6 and she was third in the long jump with a mark of 18-3. Jenny Lee was second in the javelin throw at 125-9 while third-place finishes were recorded by Sharitie Williams in the 100 meters (12.46) and Angeliza Fontillas in the 100-meter hurdles (14.99). Orlisha Henlon finished fourth in the 400 meters at 56.85. In the men's competition, George Hernandez finished first in his section of the 400 meters in 48.68. Napoleon Greene was second in the 400-meter hurdles (53.74) and third in the 110-meter hurdles (14.99). Kevin Palmer finished fourth in the 110 hurdles (15.02) and fifth in the 400 hurdles. Tim Murphy was fourth in the 800 meters in 1:52.86 and Trent Richert was fifth in the long jump at 22-0 ¾. |
