Samantha Costantini Named Big West Track Athlete of Week

UCI junior won two events at Big West Challenge Cup

IRVINE, Calif. --- UC Irvine junior Samantha Costantini has been named the Big West Conference female Track Athlete of the Week.

Costantini won the 800 and 1500 meters in last Friday's Big West Challenge Cup at Anteater Stadium.

Her 800 time was 2:13.54 and she set a meet record in the 1500 with a time of 4:29.78.

This week's award was shared by student-athletes from four different schools.
