Anteaters Sit in 12th After First Day of Peg Barnard CollegiateApril 11, 2008
Stanford, Calif. -- UC Irvine stands in a tie for 12th after the opening round of play at the Peg Barnard Invitational. The Anteaters shot a round of 321 Friday and are tied with for 12th with Tennessee-Chattanooga. California leads the field with a 295, followed by Washington (297), Stanford (300), Oregon State (303) and San Jose State (307) to round out the top five. Senior Selaneé Henderson leads UCI with a score of 74 which was good for 10th place. Patty Chawalitmetha is 40th (80), Kim Lorenzana is 53rd (82), Hillary Packard is 66th (85) and Mariko Makabe is 70th (88) after the first 18 holes. The tournament concludes with 18 holes Saturday. |
