Anteaters Tied For Seventh at Fresno Invitational

UCI is nine shots out of first with 18 holes to play

Fresno, Calif. -- UC Irvine shot a 304 and are tied for seventh after the first day of the Kitahara Fresno State Invitationalat the Copper River Country Club.

The Anteaters are tied with Nevada at 304, trailing leader Kansas who had a 295 Monday. Tulsa and Fresno State are tied for second (299), UC Davis and Hawaii are tied for fourth (301) and San Francisco is sixth at 302.

Senior Selaneé Henderson is tied for sixth after shooting a 73 and is followed by sophomore Patty Chawalitmetha in 28th place with a first round 76. Freshman Hillary Packard is 34th with a 77, senior Kim Lorenzana is 45th after shooting a 78 and sophomore Henna Cho is 83rd with an 84.

The tournament concludes with 18 holes Tuesday.
