Becky Bernhard Named Big West Player of the Week

Bernhard wins 11th career Player of the Week honor

IRVINE, Calif. - Senior Becky Bernhard was named Big West Player of the Week Wednesday for the second straight week.

Bernhard defeated Randi Schuler of UC Davis and Jolanta Twarowska of Pacific to improve her winning streak at the No. 1 singles slot to seven in a row.

This is the second honor this season for Bernhard and the 11th of her career. The 11 Player of the Week awards is more than any women's tennis player in Big West history and more than any athlete at UCI in Big West sports.
