Becky Bernhard Named Big West Player of the Week

Bernhard wins fourth straight and record 13th overall

IRVINE, Calif. - Senior Becky Bernhard (Roseville/Oakmont HS) was named Big West Player of the Week for the fourth straight week Wednesday.

Becky Bernhard won her 10th straight match at the No. 1 singles position by defeating Erynne Oki of UC Riverside in UCI's lone match of the week.

This is the fourth time Bernhard has won the honor this season and the 13th time in her career. The 13 career honors ties the Big West all-sports record held by Anita Maxwell who play women's basketball for New Mexico State from 1992-96.
