NO. 12 LONG BEACH STATE BEATS NO. 13 UC SANTA BARBARA, 14-11 IN OVERTIME

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - No. 12 Long Beach State defeated No. 13 UC Santa Barbara, 14-11 in overtime at the UC Irvine Women's Water Polo Invitational at Corona del Mar High School.

The Gauchos rallied with six goals in the fourth quarter to force overtime, but were unable to keep the scoring going as Long Beach State had goals by Cecilia Canetti, Dayna Wawrzynski and BrittanyThornbeck in the extra periods for the 14-11 Forty-Niner victory.
