NO. 8 ARIZONA STATE BEATS NO. 12 LONG BEACH STATE 12-8

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - No. 8 Arizona State defeated No. 12 Long Beach State 12-8 Sunday morning at the UC Irvine Women's Water Polo Invitational at Corona del Mar High School.

Long Beach State cut the ASU lead to 10-8 with 6:00 remaining in the fourth period. The Sun Devils would score twice in the final five minutes to seal the 12-8 victory.

The Sun Devils will play in the 9th place match at 1:30 p.m. and Long Beach State will next play at 2:45 in the 11th place match at Corona del Mar High School.
