Simic was also selected for First Team singles. Last year, Simic earned All-Big West Second Team honors, as well as Second Team Doubles with partner Scatliffe.

Simic, a Belgrade, Serbia native, played every single match at the No. 1 slot for the Gauchos this season, compiling a 10-13 record overall. Damion started the year 2-1 at No. 3 singles, before moving to No. 2 singles where she finished 7-12, for an overall record of 9-13 in dual match play.
