March 8, 2008

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The USC Upstate baseball team's weekend set with Mercer has been disrupted by the cold, windy and wet weather in Macon, Ga., on Saturday. The teams will play one game on Saturday, starting at 12 p.m. and two on Sunday, with the doubleheader slated to start at 12 p.m. at Smith Field.

The original schedule slated a doubleheader for Saturday between the Spartans (4-6 overall, 2-1 A-Sun) and the Bears (5-4 overall, 2-1 A-Sun).

A-Sun.TV will also not be available for the Saturday game but will be available on Sunday. Live stats are available through Mercer's Web site, www.mercerbears.com.
