Camden, S.C. - For the first time in tournament history, the 57th Carolinas Four-Ball Championship will be a battle between college golfers as USC Upstate standouts Baxter Culler and Josh Gallman advanced to the championship match against College of Charleston's Harrison Moore and South Carolina's Allen Koon.

Culler and Gallman advanced to Sunday's championship match with a pair of victories Saturday. The pair claimed a 1-up victory over Bubby Judy and Scott Harvey when Culler rank in a birdie putt on the final hole to give the team the win. In the semifinal match, it was Gallman's time to shine. The sophomore, who was a first team all-conference selection in the Atlantic Sun Conference this year, sank a birdie putt on the final hole to give the team a 1-up victory over Bobby Dean and Robert Preston.

Moore and Koon advanced to the championship match after claiming a 4 & 3 win over Brian Westveer and Skip Taylor in the quarterfinals and a 6&5 win over Sammy Truett and Bert Atkinson in the semifinals.

Culler, a junior from Hartsville, S.C., was an NCAA Division II All-American last year, leading Upstate to a second-place finish in the NCA Division II National Championships and winning two individual titles. Gallman, a sophomore from Gaffney, S.C., won four individual championships this year and helped lead the Spartans to two team championships en route to being named an A-Sun First Team All-Conference selection.
