North Carolina sophomore Christine Nguyen was named the EAGL Gymnast of the Week for her performance in the Governor's Cup. At the February 1 meet, Nguyen took first place in the all-around with a 39.175 score. She also finished first on beam (9.875) and placed second on bars (9.775). In addition, Nguyen received 9.750 and 9.775 marks on the vault and floor.
