LAS VEGAS -
Dex and UNLV will team up to host a phone book recycling event featuring Lon Kruger, coach of the back-to-back Mountain West champion UNLV Runnin' Rebels men's basketball team.
The event will take place at the Thomas & Mack Center on Wednesday, July 16th between 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Pacific. Visitors are encouraged to bring their old phone book directories. The first 100 people to show up to recycle their outdated phone books will receive an autographed basketball signed by Coach Kruger and a new 2008 EMBARQ Yellow Pages brought to you by Dex featuring Coach Kruger on the cover.
"This is a great opportunity for folks in the community to recycle their old directories and meet the coach of UNLV's men's basketball team," said Scott Allan, regional marketing manager, Dex. "Dex is proud to be a longstanding partner of UNLV, and we're excited that Coach Kruger will be there to help support our recycling efforts."
"The Las Vegas community has always shown great support for the Runnin' Rebels, and we enjoy spending as much time with fans as possible," said Kruger. "We're happy to partner with Dex to help members of the community recycle their old phone books. It's so simple, yet it has a big impact. We encourage all of Las Vegas to recycle their old phone books now and in the future."
