The Classic at Shelter Harbor - Final Round
Setting the Scene: Course: Oct. 16 (18 holes), Shelter Harbor Golf (par 71/6,695 yards) The field: 15 teams, 84 total golfers With three individuals finishing in the top 10, Dartmouth finished with a team score of 594, six strokes ahead of Connecticut to win the second Classic at Shelter Harbor Sunday. Peter Williamson finished second in the individual standings for Dartmouth, falling to Princeton's Bernie D'Amato in a playoff for the individual title. For the second straight day, only one person in the 84-player field - Central Connecticut's Kevin Josephson - broke par. Josephson shot a 1-under 70 for the low score of the round. Rounding out the top five in the team standings were Columbia (603), Princeton (606) and Fordham (611).
Rhode Island's Individual Results: * Sophomore Jared Adams and freshman Matt Montt - who competed as an individual - both tied for 31st overall. While Adams was consistent, shooting 78 both days, Montt carded an impressive 74 Sunday to move up 31 spots in the standings. * Three Rams finished within two strokes of each other. Junior Branden Chicorka (161) finished tied for 52nd, one stroke ahead of senior Taylor Fontaine (162), who tied for 58th. Sophomore Andrew Fiorenzano tied for 61st with a score of 163. * Seamus Fennelly improved by three strokes Sunday, shooting an 83 to finish tied for 77th.
