Sheatsley Earns CoSIDA Academic Honors

KINGSTON, R.I. - University of Rhode senior men's swimmer Ryan Sheatsley (Allentown, Pa.) has been selected to the 2008 CoSIDA Academic All-District Second Team (University Division). Sheatsley - who earlier this year was selected to the Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference Team - was a mechanical engineering major who carried a 3.88 GPA into his final semester. At the Atlantic 10 Championships in February, he set a varsity record in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:52.54 and was a member of two relay teams which established varsity records: 400-yard medley relay team (3:25.64) and the 800-yard freestyle relay team (6:52.64).
