Men's Tennis Finishes Seventh at Atlantic 10 Championship

PITTSBURGH - The eighth-seeded Rhode Island men's tennis team ended its season with a seventh-place finish at the Atlantic 10 Championship, Sunday morning at Club 4 Life in Pittsburgh. URI defeated sixth-seeded Richmond by a score of 4-0 to finish three spots better than last season's tenth place finish. The Rams jumped out to a 1-0 lead, taking the doubles point with victories from Jared Dorfman and Jeff Cote at No. 1 (8-4) and Dixon Simmons and Nicholai Hill at No. 3 (8-4). Rhody sealed the victory with three wins in singles as Henrik Almstrom was perfect at No. 3 (6-0, 6-0), and Andrew Costin and AJ Nelson turned in straight-set wins at the fifth and sixth positions, respectively. With the win over the Spiders, the Rams finish with an overall record of 17-6 (13-5 spring). DOUBLES SINGLES
