    THIS YEAR: Senior Ekene Anene is expected to have a strong final season and looks to improve on her fifth-place standing on USC's all-time triple jump list.

    2009: Had an abbreviated season as she almost redshirted, but was called into action for the Dual Meet where she placed second in the triple jump (39-7 1/4w) and fourth in the high jump (5-7). Placed 11th at the Pac-10 Championships in the triple jump with a best mark of 39-4 1/2 (12.00m). Also placed tied for 12th in the high jump with a clearance of 5-3 (1.60m).

    2008: Had a career-best triple jump of 41-11 1/4 (12.78m) to place third in the USC-UCLA Dual Meet on May 3. Also finished fifth in the high jump that day with a clearance of 5-5. Also jumped 5-5 (1.65m) to finish tied for 14th in the high jump at the Pac-10 Championships. Placed sixth at the Pac-10s in the triple jump with a mark of 40-11 (12.47m). She triple jumped 39-3 3/4 (11.98m) to place 17th at the NCAA West Regional. Had season-best high jump of 5-6 (1.68m), the top collegiate mark on the day at Long Beach Invitational on April 18.

    2007: Had a season-best high jump of 5-8 3/4 (1.75m) on March 17 at UNLV, at the time the 10th best all-time by a Trojan female. Represented USC at the Pac-10 Championships in the triple jump and high jump. Had a season best in the triple jump of 39-3 1/4 on Feb. 24 at the Claremont Relays.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Attended University High in Irvine, Calif...Set the school record in the triple jump and was on the 4x100m relay team which set the school record.

    PERSONAL: Ekene (Marilyn) Anene was born on May. 3, 1988...Is a Business major and Latin America Studies minor at USC...Studied abroad for the Fall 2008 semester in Nicaragua...Likes to listen to music, travel and learn about different cultures in her spare time...Is learning to play the guitar...Lists her favorite movie as Love and Basketball and her favorite musician as Erykah Badu...Is an Executive Board Member of the Black Business Students Association and African Students Association (Africa 'SC).
