    THIS YEAR: Redshirt freshman Elan Hilaire is hoping to bounce back from injuries this season and provide the Trojans with another top-flight sprinter.

    2009: Had injuries which limited her to two meets before deciding to redshirt. Ran on USC's winning 4x100m relay at the Trojan Relays on March 1 which posted a regional qualifying time of 45.35. Also ran on USC's "B" 4x400m relay for that meet. Ran a 12.42 100m time at the Ben Brown Invitational on March 7.

    High School: Hilaire is a graduate of Eleanor Roosebelt HS in Greenbelt, Md. where she set a high school freshman record and a PR of 54.06 in the indoor 400m race, breaking the grade record set by Char Foster of 54.25 set in 1995. Hilaire has also posted bests in the 100m of 11.68, 200m of 24.27, 300m of 38.97, 400m of 53.97 and 55m dash of 7.04. She was an AAU Youth Champion in the 100m, 200m and 400m, the first female to win all three titles. During her high school career, Hilaire has won six state champion titles, while achieving honor roll status as a student. Hilaire represented the U.S. on the 2005 World Youth Team and won a gold medal as a member of the sprint medley team and was on the 2006 IAAF World Junior Team in the 4x400m relay pool. Hilare was named the Colgate Women's Most Promising Newcomer in 2005. She missed most of the 2007 season with an injury.

    Personal: Elan was born on May 15, 1990 in New York City...Her hobbies include traveling, playing the violin and watching movies...Lists her favorite musician as Kanye West and favorite movies at The Dark Knight and Forrest Gump...Was featured in July of 2005 in Sports Illustrated for Kids Faces in the Crowd...Is an Undeclared major at USC.
