    THIS YEAR: Senior Duane Walker has been a valuable memeber of the team as a 400m IH runner and as a part of our relay teams. This season he is expected to focus more on the 400m race.

    2011: Placed fourth in the 400m IH with a time of 53.71 at the USC-UCLA Dual Meet on May. 1. Placed 10th in the 400m IH with a time of 52.85 at the Pac-10 Championships, one spot out of advancing to the finals. Went ot the NCAA Championships as an alternate on the 4x400m relay team and was forced into action with Nellum still injured. The team placed third in it's semifinal heat and ninth overall with a time of 3:05.18 to earn second-team All-America honors. Walker ran a strong second leg with a 46.16 split and getting the Trojans back in the race in fifth place. Ran the third leg for the 4x400m relay at the Texas Relays which posted a time of 3:02.87 which ranks fourth all-time on the USC lists. Had a season-best time of 52.49 in the 400m IH in placing fifth in the University Open division at Mt. Sac. on April 15. In his only open 400m race of the season he placed sixth with a time of 47.96 at the Occidental Invitational on May 7.

    2010: Placed eighth at the Pac-10 Championships in the 400m IH on May 15 in Berkeley, Calif. with a time of 54.40. Had reached the finals with the fifth-best qualifying time and a season-best of 51.70 on May 15. Took third in the 400m IH at the Dual Meet on May 1 with a time of 53.25.

    2009: Became one of USC's most valuable runners by the end of the season, becoming one of the top 400m hurdlers on the West Coast and remaining a very strong 400m runner. Had a PR of 50.78 in the 400m IH semifinals at the Pac-10 Championships on May 16 to advance to the finals with the second-fastest time. He took fifth in the finals with a time of 51.17. He also anchored USC's winning 4x400m relay team at the Pac-10s which had a time of 3:06.30. Placed 10th at the NCAA West Regional in the 400m IH with a time of 51.83, but helped lead USC to the 4x400m relay title with a time of 3:06.09. Anchored USC's 4x400m relay team which placed seventh at the NCAA Championships with a time of 3:04.18, the eighth-fastest in school history. Had a time of 52.12 in the preliminaries of the 400m IH and did not advance. Won the 400m IH at the USC-UCLA Dual meet on May 2 with a time of 52.37 and anchored the winning 4x400m relay team to help USC record its first sweep in the Dual Meet in school history. Set a PR in the 400m dash with a time of 46.69 on April 25 at the Tiny Lister Invitational, the top collegiate time at the meet. He also qualified in two events for the USA Junior Team in 2009.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Walker prepped at Compton HS in Compton, Calif...He has a PR of 47.05 in the 400m...Was the Div. II CIF Champion in the 400 m and placed third at the California state meet.

    PERSONAL: Duane was born on Aug. 27, 1990 in Compton Calif....His hobbies include cars, art, basketball and music...Lists his favorite movies as Friday, John Q and Training Day, favorite actor as Denzel Washington and favorite singers at Michael Jackson, Al Green and Marvin Gaye...Is a Social Sciences major at USC.
