Norman Wins 200m & Hall Posts Top Qualifier in 60m Hurdles At New Mexico Classic|

Michael Norman won the men's 200m in his collegiate debut and Dior Hall posted the fastest women's 60m hurdles semifinals time during the first day of the New Mexico Classic held at the Albuquerque Convention Center today (Feb. 3).
Norman won his heat and was first overall in the men's 200m with a time of 20.76. That was the sixth-fastest time run by a collegian this indoor season. Zyaire Clemes won his heat and was third overall with a PR of 20.97. Just'N Thymes won his heat and was fourth overall with a PR of 20.99. It was Norman's first race as a Trojan and he, Clemes and Thymes now rank third, fourth and fifth respectively on USC's all-time indoor 200m list.
Hall was first to compete today and she won her heat and had the fastest qualifying time of 8.17 in the women's 60m hurdles. She moves onto the finals tomorrow.
David Sellens had a slight PR of 59-0.75 (18.00m) in the third round of the men's weight throw, his best mark of the day. He finished eighth overall and bettered his third-place standing on USC's all-time list in the event.
Expected to compete tomorrow are Nathan Bultman (Shot Put), Clemes (400m, 4x400m), Matthew Katnik (Shot Put), Brittany Mann (Shot Put), Norman (4x400m), Ricky Morgan Jr. (400m, 4x400m), Nick Ponzio (Shot Put), David Sellens (Weight Throw) and Thymes (4x400m).
