    California Collegiate Results Get Acrobat Reader

    USC's women's 4x400m relay team won with a school-record time and the Trojans took second in four other events during the final day of action at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays held in Austin, Texas today (April 1). USC also won five events at the California Collegiate held in San Diego, Calif. today.

    At the Texas Relays:

    • USC's women's 4x400m relay team of Cameron Pettigrew, Amalie Iuel, Deanna Hill and Kendall Ellis set the school record with a winning time of 3:26.27 in the Sanya Richards-Ross University Invitational, nearly three seconds ahead of the second-place finisher Texas A&M. USC's previous record was 3:26.73 set last season at the NCAA West Regional. It is the fastest time in the country entering action this week.

    • USC's men's 4x400m relay team of Ricky Morgan Jr., Marquis Morris, Alex Rohani and Just'N Thymes finished sixth with a season-best time of 3:06.49.

    • USC's 4x200m relay team of Kendall Ellis, Anna Cockrell, Kayla Richardson and Cameron Pettigrew took second in its heat and second overall with a time of 1:32.45. The time is the second-fastest in school history, trailing only the school record of 1:30.99 set in 2014. Only USC and the winner Texas A&M had times under 1:34.50.

    • USC's 4x100m relay team of Zaria Francis, Ky Westbrook, Destinee Brown and Deanna Hill placed fifth with a time of 44.46.

    Just'N Thymes runs 10.08 (+2.1w) to place second in the men's 100m dash, while T.J. Brock runs 10.21 to finish fourth. Thymes now ranks second in the country in the 100m compared to marks posted before this weekend.

    • Marquis Morris had a PR of 13.61 (-0.2) to place second in the men's 110m hurdles. His time is just .04 seconds outside of USC's all-time top 10 in the event. His time is also second among collegians entering action this weekend.

    Dior Hall took fourth in the women's 100m hurdles with a time of 13.21 (-0.3).

    Randall Cunningham took second in the men's high jump with a clearance of 7-3.00 (2.21m). There were three jumpers which reached the height of 7-4.25 (2.24m), but only Trey Culver of Texas Tech cleared it.

    Eric Sloan had a season-best long jump of 25-7.25/7.50m (+1.0) to place fourth in the men's long jump. Sloan entered the finals in second and passed on his last three attempts.

    Margaux Jones had fouls on her first two attempts, then landed a clutch leap of 20-3.50/6.18m (+0.0) in the third round to advance to the finals in fourth place. She did not improve in her final three jumps and finished sixth.

    At the California Collegiate:

    Brittany Mann won the women's shot put with a best mark of 53-8.25 (16.37m). Taking second was Tanya Sapa with a best shot put of 53-2.75 (16.22m).

    • David Sellens won the men's hammer throw with a PR of 187-5 (57.12m). He has already improved nearly seven feet over his best throw entering this season and after a foul in his first attempt had five throws over 175 feet. Jason Kim placed 12th with a best mark of 139-5 (42.50m).

    Matthew Katnik won the men's shot put with a best mark of 61-7.75 (18.79m) which matches his personal best. Nick Ponzio placed second with a best throw of 60-4.75 (18.41m).

    Nick Ponzio won the men's discus throw with a best mark of 169-9 (51.73m).

    Brittany Mann took second in the women's discus throw with a mark of 155-6 (47.41m).

    Tanya Sapa placed fourth in the women's hammer throw with a best toss of 154-8 (47.15). Mann had fouls in all three throws.

    Amber Gore placed fifth in her heat and 16th overall in the women's 1500m with a time of 4:48.48. Lauren Maurer was 11th in her heat and 16th overall in the 1500m with a PR of 4:52.20.

    Robert Ford ran a PR of 3:53.33 to place third in the men's 1500m, while Trent Rule was eighth with a PR of 3:58.73 and Garrett Mack was 16th with a time of 4:32.54.

    Mikaela Smith ran her first 400m race of her collegiate career and placed third with a time of 55.65.

    Lorea Ibarzabal won the women's 800m race with a season-best time of 2:10.31. Also in the 800m race, Chloe Berry was sixth with a PR of 2:13.55, Vivian Grimes was 10th with a PR of 2:14.29, Kamryn Weber was 17th with a PR of 2:17.53 and Madison Ricks was 19th with a time of 2:18.28.

    • In the men's 800m, Mitchell Cameron had a PR of 1:54.96 to win his heat and place fourth overall. Joshua Zavala was fifth overall in the 800m race with a time of 1:55.91, Matthew Myrtue was 13th at 1:58.68 and Trent Rule was 14th with a PR of 1:59.14.

    • USC ran two women's 4x400 meter relays, placing seventh and eighth. The "A" team of Lorea Ibarzabal, Kamryn Weber, Madison Ricks and Chloe Berry had a time of 3:59.10 to place seventh and the "B" team of Vivian Grimes, Lauren Maurer, Amber Gore and Mikaela Smith won its heat and placed eighth with a time of 4:01.45.

    • The men's 4x400m relay placed ninth with a time of 3:43.44.
