Thymes Named Pac-12 Men's Track Athlete Of The Week

    USC senior Just’N Thymes was named the Pac-12 Track & Field Men’s Track Athlete of the Week for the week of March 27-April 2, it was announced by the conference today (April 4).

    Thymes placed second in the 100m dash at the Texas Relays on April 1 with a wind-aided PR of 10.08 (+2.1). His time ranks second in the country so far this season. He also set his legal PR of 10.14 (+1.4) in the preliminary rounds on March 31. That time moves him to ninth place on USC’s all-time 100m dash list.

    Thymes also ran the anchor leg for USC’s 4x400m relay which placed sixth at the Texas Relays with a season-best time of 3:06.49.

    This is Thymes first Pac-12 Track Athlete of the Week honor. He becomes USC’s third athlete to win a Pac-12 Athlete of the Week Award, joining Nick Ponzio (March 21) and Deanna Hill (March 28).
